In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in April 2015, We Will Rise Foundation (WWRF) took immediate action to support affected communities. We built temporary shelters for forty households and provided cash assistance totaling NPR 2,300,000 for the reconstruction of Ishwarimala Primary School. Additionally, we constructed a Children’s Park and established a scholarship fund of NPR 300,000 to support children’s education. Compassionate support was also extended to families who lost loved ones, with NPR 50,000 provided to each affected family.

WWRF Constructs New School Building
WWRF constructed a new building for Sri Ishwarimala Prathamik Vidyalaya at a cost of NPR 2,105,000, replacing the previous thatched-roof structure that was destroyed in the earthquake. The project also included donations of furniture, computers, and other essential classroom materials to support the school’s educational needs. The inauguration ceremony was graced by popular actress Rekha Thapa and renowned comedian Jitu Nepal, celebrating the resilience of the school and the community.

Showcase of Artistic Talents: WWRF Group Art Exhibition
Students from Tribhuvan University’s Central Department of Fine Arts collaborated with We Will Rise Foundation (WWRF) to host a Group Art Exhibition at the Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal, Kathmandu, from December 30, 2015, to January 3, 2016. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Hamal and concluded by Mr. Saroj Khanal. The event aimed to inspire, support, and provide a meaningful platform for young and emerging artists to showcase their creativity. -

Supporting Orphans: WWRF Provides Stationery and Sports Items at Child Bright Future Nepal
On November 1, 2015, WWRF donated stationery and sports items to orphans at Child Bright Future Nepal in Lubhu, Lalitpur. Popular singer Komal Oli conducted a special program to engage and uplift the children affected by the earthquake, while also presenting them with thoughtful gifts.

The Hong Kong Nepalese Taekwondo Association (HKNTA) organized the ‘We Will Rise – हामी उठ्ने छौं’ Fundraising Event on October 1, 2015, at the Yuen Long Theatre Auditorium, Hong Kong. The event aimed to provide support to earthquake survivors in Nepal while fostering a strong sense of unity and connection within the Nepali diaspora community.

Introducing the ‘We Will Rise’ Theme Song
We recorded a theme song for the ‘We Will Rise’ campaign and produced a music video, filmed across ten countries, including Hong Kong, China, France, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, Australia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Nepal. The purpose of the video is to convey a powerful message to Nepalese everywhere: “Let us be united, wherever we live.” This is the first music video of its kind to be shot across multiple nations, symbolizing the heartfelt unity and collective spirit of the Nepalese diaspora worldwide in this movement.
