We built a temporary shelter for forty households shortly following the devastating earthquake in April 2015. Similarly, we provided cash support of NPR 2,300,000/- for the reconstruction of Ishwarimala Primary School. We also constructed Children’s Park and established an NPR 300,000/- scholarship fund for children. We also provided cash support of NPR 50,000/- each to families who lost loved ones as a result of the earthquake.
To inspire and motivate our U19 World Cup Qualifier Cricket team, WWRF hosted a felicitation ceremony on January 17, 2016, where national celebrities from various fields came together to support and encourage the team.
WWRF constructed the building for Sri Ishwarimala Prathamik Vidyalaya at a cost of Rs.2,105,000. Previously, the building had a thatched roof and was destroyed due to earthquakes.
Donations included furniture, computers, and necessary materials for classes. Popular actress Rekha Thapa and comedian Jitu Nepal inaugurated the function.
Felicitations program to the winner of the Football of the Bangabandhu Cup in Dhaka, and best wishes for SAG 2016 on February 1, 2016. National celebrities from various industries were present to show solidarity with the team and best wishes for their success in SAG.
WWRF donated stationery and sports items to orphans at Child Bright Future Nepal in Lubhu, Lalitpur, Nepal on November 1, 2015. Komal Oli, a popular singer, conducted a program to stimulate the youngsters impacted by the earthquake and also offered them presents.
Hong Kong Nepalese Taekwondo Association [HKNTA] organized ‘We will Rise -हामी उठ्ने छौं’ Fund Raising Event on 1st October 2015 at Auditorium Yuen Long Theatre, Hong Kong to further extend help to the earthquake survivors of Nepal thereby creating a strong bond between Nepali Diaspora population.
We recorded a theme song for ‘We Will Rise’ and created a music video. The film was shot in ten countries, including Hong Kong, China, France, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, Australia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Nepal. The goal of making this video is to send a message to the people: ‘Let us be united wherever we live.’ This is the first music video that was shot in different nations. This shows the emotive unity of the Nepalese diaspora around the world in this movement.
